Boyle Statement on
February 2026 Jobs Report
Month after month, the data shows Donald Trump's economy is failing American families. The job market is weakening, costs remain high, and Trump's illegal tariff taxes continue to hurt businesses and workers.
Trump and his allies in Congress know their agenda isn't working. Instead of helping working families, they are pushing more tariff taxes and more tax breaks for billionaires. It is clear Republicans in Washington simply do not care about working families.

A record number of Americans are dipping into their retirement savings just to stay afloat. A leading cause: skyrocketing health care costs.

Instead of helping, Trump made the largest health care cuts in American history and doubled down on his costly tariff taxes.

Ted Cruz asks Treasury to approve $200 billion tax cut without Congress Ted Cruz and Tim Scott urge Treasury Secretary to approve $200 billion tax cut on capital gains without congressional approval.

Washington can be unpredictable, but you can always bet on two things: Ted Cruz abandoning his constituents in a crisis, and Republicans cutting taxes for billionaires.

No matter how he spins it, the reality is that Trump's tariffs are a de facto sales tax on Americans.

Americans know better. In recent polling, two-thirds of Americans oppose his tariffs.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office's 30-year outlook is here, and it paints a grim picture of the national debt.

Despite saying they care about the national debt, Republicans have added trillions to it with their reckless spending policies, including tax breaks for billionaires.

Trump rambled for almost two hours. We heard a lot of lies. We heard a lot of nonsense. What we didn’t hear was an actual plan to lower prices for working families.

This is a huge victory for working Americans being crushed by Trump's disastrous tariff taxes.

Boyle Statement on
SCOTUS Striking Down
Tariff Taxes
This ruling is a victory for every American family paying higher prices because of Trump's tariff taxes. The Supreme Court rejected Trump's attempt to impose what amounted to a national sales tax on hardworking Americans.
Trump's tariffs weakened our economy, hurt American workers, and made it harder for families to make ends meet. Trump will try to do this again another way because he is intent on continuing his unhinged economic sabotage.
Today's decision is an important step toward protecting families and restoring basic economic fairness. I will keep fighting to lower costs and stop any attempt to revive Trump's reckless tariffs.

Boyle Statement on House Vote to Terminate Trump's
Canada Tariffs
President Trump's reckless tariffs are a tax increase on working families, and they are making the cost-of-living crisis worse.
For months, I have been sounding the alarm about these tax hikes and fighting to end them. Meanwhile, Republicans have continued to protect tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy while the President's policies drive costs higher for everyone else.
Today, a small number of Republicans finally joined the effort to limit some of the damage. But the vast majority of them continue to enable Trump's agenda, despite tariffs costing American families a staggering $1,700.
I will keep using every tool available to roll back these foolish tariffs and lower costs for the American people.
