The Den staff for TFF/TFS/Nightmare nights and many other Dallas area furcons have been an issue for years. Abuses of power and harassment in groups they make for the con, then claim the group is not affiliated when people speak up about their behavier.

A friend of mine faced horrible verbal abuse by the lead of the TFF dealers room. They also juried in the AI booth AGAIN despite the fact the booth makes none of their own original art and uses premade 3D printed files of copyrighted materials. And yet if you speak up, you risk getting blacklisted

Fr I'm hearing from a few of my dealer friends that is is apparently a common occurrence. Apparently the den team at these cons are huge bullies and will silently blacklist you from the cons just bc they dont like your vibe.

Like ig that's cool for social spaces but this is people's livelihood.

@furryfiesta.org mentioning your social team as well bc this is unacceptable and I think at the very LEAST, an apology is in order.

That last part is an absolutely disgusting thing to say and whoever is on the dealer's team for TFS fm should be ashamed for putting another artist down like that. @furrysiesta.org please look into this bc I highly doubt this the first time and higly doubt this will be the last.

Another year, another dance comp in the books

I have been dealing with a very difficult living situation due to my parents being emotionally abusive. This Sunday was a breaking point for me and I couldn’t take it anymore. The next day, I discretely packed my bags and computer, and left. I am currently staying at a friend’s house. They have a spare room and I’ve been allowed to temporarily crash at their place for the time being. I have a roof over my head, and for the first time in a while now, I feel physically and emotionally safe. Despite this, I am not financially stable. And this is where, unfortunately, I still need help. Bills don’t stop just because I’m in a crisis. This has all been immensely scary. But I feel that this is going to be the first step for me to get back on my feet. As always, take care of yourself first. Trust and believe that I know it is not just a fandom problem. But I'd love for cons to be an escape from regular life for me as they are for so many others.

And I want to give a really big thank you to anyone that has been around me to witness any of this and either stuck up for me or checked on me. I appreciate that more than you will ever know.

And I say at least one, but it's usually multiple per con. And it's making me not want to interact with people. And that's literally my favorite thing to do at conventions. It's become emotionally taxing. And I'm tired.
