Thank you for sharing this - it feels so relatable to me, especially the ending, reading three pages of an actual book after scrolling and then being mad at yourself for doing it!

I didn't watch a lot of Olympics, but I did see enough to be reminded (and shocked) that Sidney Crosby is actually the same age as me and no longer 18 and a little baby.
Thank you! I was actually curious what your opinion would be. My sister says they're both fun and whimsical but also tacky, which is probably correct.
I'm devastated to discover my whole family does not agree that porch geese are fun and whimsical and that I should get one. www.tasteofhome.com/article/lawn...
I know Mennonite Central Committee has done relief in Cuba for a long time, they respond to a lot of disasters but also have provided lots of humanitarian relief because of the embargo. I don't work there any more so can't confirm for sure, but she could give them a call and ask?
We kind of don't. Or at least I function with pretty much half capacity at all times. And usually feel like I'm being both a bad parent and a bad employee at some point most days 🫠
🫠parenting toddlers is not for the weak!
Also me as I the toddler screams because I took her out of the highchair like she asked 🫠
oh I see - yeah okay I guess I've managed to catch it before a full ten are overdue and so I've been able to do it on my own
Maybe you know this already, but if you have the library app you can renew them yourself in the app and it will tell you which ones can't be renewed. You had to do one at a time so it's a bit tedious but I've been able to do it without going in and got it to the point where I can request books again
So many feelings! We're still trying to get over it, haha. Maybe I'll get there by Friday.
Our phase two included the shocking discovery that our baby's daycare is in fact closed until Friday and we didn't realize until we tried to drop her off this morning. We're doing great 🫠
I did not know this was an option through the library! I'm going to check it out, thanks!
Wait - is this different than accessing them through Libby?!
That's so exciting! I can look forward to 17 years from now being able to cook whatever I want, haha.
EVERY day! And they won't eat just anything, so you can't just make whatever you want to eat. The amount of brain power this consumes is wild.
Exactly this! Our 18 month old will only watch a screen for a few minutes of a time, which is occasionally helpful. But she gets bored and wanders away to cause more chaos. I honestly wish she was more interested at this point 😂
This! If you had told me how relaxed I'd feel on a Monday morning after drop off I would never have believed you. (But also this Monday both kids are home sick, so we don't even get that 🫠)
Bike riding! Our oldest is going to be seven in Jan. and still uses training wheels. She loves riding her bike but doesn't want to work on learning and I just worry that if we don't nail it soon it's going to get a lot harder. But also don't want to push her too hard that it becomes negative.
What?! This is mind blowing information.
Wait, what?! I thought flapjacks were like pancakes?
Our 16 month old has started crawling into the lap of our six year old, or climbing up on a chair to sit and cuddle with her 😭 It's the cutest thing and almost makes all the exhaustion worth it.
I was wondering where the third one was, and then I found them.
agreed! The whole thing makes no sense, and seems like it would just make the printing process more expensive.
I have just started throwing them out when they get removed because I cannot take it. Which feels extremely wrong, but I still do it.
haha yeah okay that checks out! Well it's definitely more interesting to me to consider for a visit than before.
This is so interesting, I have honestly never considered going to the museum because I expected exactly this. But you've convinced me to think about going next time I'm there.
okay but I would definitely read it, this is incredible!
haha, oh no! This is like when I set an alarm for 7am just in case the baby sleeps, and then I've actually been up for 1.5 hours and we're all dressed and have had breakfast before the alarm goes.
