Every single time great powers go misty-eyed & mythical about 'their' spaces, territories, homelands, spheres, they should be called out by descriptions of the actual existing materialities of these fragments of an interdependent and turbulent planetary system.

Pulling climate data offline, canceling research grants, and de-funding scientific institutions doesn't just suppress climate information. It weakens the foundation we rely on to make good decisions of any kind.
