An interesting opposite skull, let’s call it “Cure”, would have been interesting. All hostile units a player kills instead joins that player’s team. Play on Release and amass a Flood army!

Power Overwhelming: playing PvP, making Scarabs that another player kills, only for it to poof into a hostile unit that attacks you both!
Random fact: Halo Wars 1 had a cut Flood skull which would assign killed player units to the Flood team (or Creeps if no Flood on the level). Apparently at one point due to be named “Sickness”. Except a diff skull by that name shipped, where it just halved unit hit points.
If I wanted to undo humanity, I would introduce computers, connectivity, instant data access…then 💩 up all said data and watch the monkeys self implode from the illusion of reality
At least Bandcamp lets artists post official lyrics. And at one point lyrics were printed on CD jackets.
We have a F’ing internet, but treat data like we have a Hulk: Smash!
“Oh, this is a fun song, let me check the lyrics”

“Bullshit. Did the person even listen to the song?”
2025. I can’t tell if it’s the GenAI or humans that are hallucinating.
Ethical use of GenAI: giving Lost a proper ending.
We can rebuild them. We have the technology.
Because hot sauce. Using Giorgio A. Tsoukalos “aliens” meme
I don’t eat because I’m hungry. I eat:
All the more reason for me to hound the VS/MSbuild teams for improving their clang support to make this sort of work more straightforward 😄!
Bonus points would be being able to specify a custom URL that the compiler reports when you try and compile with a banned “feature”. Why is it banned? Here’s a link to the lead’s TED talk. Now less time is wasted in code review.
As more “features” are added to C++, I wish there were ways to toggle off specific ones.
I should be able to outright ban lambdas, or at least ones that capture, at the compiler level.
I should be able to turn off legacy compatibility in favor of newer ways of doing a thing. Etc
I keep messages unread as a reminder to read them…at some point!
I’m introverted, could definitely understand burnout from getting pinged that much, esp during holidays, and the tax of feeling the need to reply and it’s just…a mountain
Surprised Pikachu with a scarf and Santa hat
If Santa were a Pokemon, would his name actually be Ho 🤔?
Which also likely means Jesse Welles has been robbed of some Payola due to my trigger finger on the skip back/forward habits 🤔
My top song: Walmart, by Jesse Welles. Total Streams: 17. Top 0.05% of listeners worldwide. From Spotify wrapped
I’m fairly certain Spotify is binary in how it counts its streams. I am damn sure I listened to Walmart by Jesse Welles more than 17 times. But if they count repeating it before it ends, or skipping to the next song a few secs early, then year, maybe “17” full play throughs
A wooden box and wine glass engraved with the Fronk character from Halo 3, in front of Mt Rainier
A Fronk-y Rainier toast, to all Veterans on this Veteran’s Day, as well as a celebration of Halo: The Master Chief’s 10th anniversary. May you continue to rise through all the fog 🥂
An interesting combo effect would be making Bandana+Acrophobia also make it so you can force enemy AI out of seats, not just friendly AI. At least in Halo 1 where there was no boarding
I’m watching someone play the second mission of Halo 1 using the Acrophobia skull, and one regret it made me realize was NOT making the skull also inhibit scripting that disabled player vehicle entry, as they wanted to get in a Banshee
I recorded their set that night too, albeit from further back :) bsky.app/profile/korn...
I need to get around to uploading Kinski’s May show…hopefully before their next show at TST in December!
Uapinthebsky doesn’t roll off the tongue the same way as “bullet in the blue sky” does unfortunately
Was reminded today of a new Halo 3 skull I prototyped in July 2020. The idea went basically: “what if you could climb on walls like spiderm- errrr, an Infection Form?”
You’d have to be crouching as you hit a wall to “stick”. Then you’d unstick by uncrouching.

Sandrider isn’t on bsky, but they are on instagram. Here’s their live set at The Sunset Tavern on 01/26/2024 www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...
