Publishing a long ass article about the oil industry without mentioning the damage it's causing the planet is a choice.

It's like writing an article about asbestos and not bothering to mention it causes cancer.

As the price of oil & gas explodes, I recently read about how the price impact is almost entirely speculative, as the *supply* of oil and gas hardly budges, particularly in places like Canada. It's all just straight up profits for the gas companies. Remember that as you fill up the tank this week.

Even in the face of a mass shooting the federal government won't act with urgency to regulate this dangerous technology. How can we expect them to put up much-needed guardrails in all the other contexts, from IP theft to disinformation to child sex abuse material etc. etc. etc.?

Justin Ling: For four years, Ukraine has held back a wannabe emperor while innovating on defence. Canada should take notes It’s easy for Canadians to despair over an unjust war. Despair is a luxury afforded by distance, something Ukraine sorely lacks.

Being exhausted by a war that other's are fighting is a luxury of distance. And Ukraine's obsessive drive to innovative ought to give us plenty of reason to hope.
