I think @davidfrenchjag.bsky.social and I would disagree on many lower-level policies, but I completely agree with his point that having Christian politicians espouse actual Christian values is sorely what the US needs now as a way out of our division.

Feel like all we really know about PE is a/c alone for the not sick, lytics for the really sick, and for everyone else just…use your best judgment (unless your judgment tells you CDT).

I think we are making PE more complicated than it needs to be.
My life is happy and full and I feel so very blessed.
Last night we went to visit my new niece. Today I got to sit in a few hours of faculty development on teaching. This evening I started two trays of seeds while my kid played on the swingset and my husband baked focaccia and the cats meowed through the screen at the birds.

This is the quick version of what I’ve been struggling to find the nicest words for. I think it’s not your fault though, it’s a function of how murky decision making in PE is currently. And the recent Circulation guideline did nothing to simplify it.

Revamping our SAT/SBT protocols to be more aggressive as our extubation failure rates are very low, and seems like a good time to reassess these parts of the protocol as well.
Given the literature on vent mechanics and cuff leaks as poor extubation success predictors for allcomers, should routine measurement of these things be built into pre-extubation workflows for RTs? Or should they be optional, and done only when requested/felt to be necessary?

It will sit on 540 acres and create…125 jobs.
0.23 jobs created per acre by this monstrosity. Not to mention how bad it is for the environment, the economy, and literally for our brains and souls as humans.

A partner actually came up to me in clinic yesterday and said they were really disappointed in the democrats for not standing up for the hockey team, and they thought it was shameful. He regretted saying it shortly after I am sure because I was not in the mood.
