It's extremely good! I'm a little over halfway through, and god, I'm enjoying it.
Quickly becoming a For Human Use evangelist. I can't believe this is Sarah G. Pierce's first novel. Incredible debut.
This novel also presents a great analog to the ridiculously, fraudulently inflated AI "hype" and the high-on-its-own-supply bullshit of the finance world. I'm loving this book so much.

Every weird, cool book club has a duty to read Sound Museum and discuss the reading guide.
A collage of shaking hands, a graph going up, money raining down, and fire consuming a city skyline. The middle text reads "Batshit LockedIn Posts."
Did I mention that the upcoming zine bundle will have fun collage covers (plus one illustrated cover by a rad artist)? Here's one I made for Batshit LockedIn Posts with help from @pg13andabsurd.bsky.social. I changed LinkedIn to LockedIn to avoid any legal issues, but LockedIn still has a nice ring!
I'm having a great time with it. Just about halfway through.
I can't get over how funny this book is. It really effectively captures the feeling that the world has gone nuts and you're just living in it, screaming into a void. Dark and hysterical.

I really dug Fawver's previous collection. Stoked for this next book!
Collage of Judith Slaying Holofernes in background with pearls, jewels, nails, gem hearts, stars, and heels kicking up in silhouette.
The collage cover of our Cunty Horrors zine issue, created by @pg13andabsurd.bsky.social and (to a lesser extent) me. This zine features two essays on cunty horror by Carrie-Edmund Laben and C.E. O’Cónaing. Coming soon!

This is an incredible chart from Al Jazeera.
It shows just how barbaric US foreign policy has been, bombing ten countries this century.
The United States is a nation addicted to war.
Cover of The Writhing, Verdant End, featuring a skeleton clutching binoculars, gazing upon a foreground of red-tinted writhing, ghoulish animals.
"The spores and pollen flung into pores, concrete, every break and crack in a five-mile radius. The air was hazy with the gold dust, sticking and oozing, vomiting in its sweetness."

Plus three more stories by Tiffany Morris, a novelette by Corey Farrenkopf, and a novella by Eric Raglin! All Weird. All ecological. All transcendent and horrifying.

Absolutely rad cover.
(Also, I have a story in this one, so set aside your dollar bucks)
Very excited to read this. LinkedIn is a cursed place, and I trust Cursed Morsels to provide a mini psychic exorcism.
Thank you! It was a fun experiment!
Featuring these four excellent pieces:
“Escalation Was Discussed” by D.J. Tuskmoor
“Amulet of Torment - Does It Have A Place in Your Grindset?” by Alex. K. Masse
“Growth Mindset” by Xochilt Avila
“Seven Sales Lessons of the Leopard Slug” by D. Matthew Urban

I'm digging it! It's a nasty, funny read.
One thing I like about this book so far (100 pages in) is that we're presented with a guy (Tom) who undeniably sucks but is somehow one of the only characters responding sanely to an insane app for people who want to date corpses, and thus, we must begrudgingly root for him.
The cover of Gore Poetics. The image looks like glistening intestines with two black pearls positioned in a line near the center. The reddish text flows with the dip and swell of the intestines.
Cursed Morsels writer @flameswallower.bsky.social calls Gore Poetics "Some of my absolute favorite horror and horror-tinged SFF short stories from the past five years or so!"
