With equanimity, we feel the sensations without resenting them or wishing they were different.
And, of course, without trying to change them in any way!
I like to imagine that Iโm โrolling out the red carpetโ for them - willing to feel them in โall their gloryโ even if only for a few seconds.

Equanimity in relationships...a powerful combination!
It has the potential to both increase intimacy while strengthening boundaries, which can sound like a paradox, but they unfold together in the moment.

Equanimity = Bringing an equal interest to pleasant, unpleasant and neutral sensations, without reacting to them and without identifying with them.
And one more important tidibit : ) - while continuing to feel them!

Equanimity has many definitions, but this one has been the most clinically usefulโand personally meaningfulโfor me. ๐
