I notice when running past canal fishermen that I never see phones. Or books though tbh. There must be some special kind of fishing zen.

Update: after a wintry trot through the forest, I can confirm that snow runs are the best. Fingers be damned.
Snow-watch at the plot. The cold frame has succumbed and the pond ice is weight-bearing. But the greenhouse stands majestic and the plucky daffs are poking through.
