"Finally, Prince enters the world of X68000..."
Leaping out of you from the pages of LOGIN Magazine's Feb 1991 issue: one of the coolest ads I've ever seen for the original Prince of Persia.

DOOM on PC Speaker/Beeper for sound is a vibe all of its own.
A scan of a yellow background paper cover with a black ink/pen illustration of a slim woman with black hair (described as fair in her bio) in a sci-fish bodysuit with lots of gear and pockets and a distinct lack of fan service, wearing a transparent pulp scifi-ish bubble helmet, with her arm draped over and leaning against a robot. Techie readouts and displays can also be seen along with the game tittle in calculator font.
One of the early female protags in video/computer games: Kim Kimberly from Level 9's Snowball. (1983)
I was today, years old when I learned there was a little fad around 2000-2001 for 'digital trading cards': narrow card-like CDs that you just put in your drive, and they span around as usual.
One set of them is for Buffy for the Vampire Slayer, with per character multimedia stuff.
A close up crt tv snap zoomed in of a skeleton from Rondo of Blood looking a bit pleased with himself as he sports a ragged jacket open at the, well, ribcage, and no other clothing.
"I'm wearing the latest in jacket fashion for the long-deceased. Once again, Alucard Weavery has skilfully chosen only the finest of reclaimed materials to craft a stylish garment for the upper bone. Alucard Weavery - for when modesty is no longer a concern, but STYLE is an eternal consideration."

One of my fave Saturn games, and one of the reasons why I picked one up back in the day. Awesome little strategy game with some impressive battles of upwards of hundreds of sprite soldiers and monsters.
Just sorting through photos I took with princess_latex_rubber_doll. I can't wait to edit these.

"If you play only one real RPG this year, it has to be... FALLOUT."
Ah, the hype, seeing this early ad for Fallout! Remnants of its origin of using the GURPS ruleset remained baked into it even as it shifted to the SPECIAL system.

A snap of the tram sequence from Half Life, looking out across gantries through the clear windows. Rendered in software mode.
"Now arriving at Now arriving at Sector C Test Labs..."
Software mode Half Life was how I first saw the game in 1999, and I do actually prefer how it looks to Opengl/3DFX'd HL.
