CUSMA is in the embers stage of the bonfire it may have been. A large multifaceted trade agreement with inherent weaknesses of leverage will not be signed. Trade hegemony is collapsing with like minded nation's abandoning outdated models of integration. The adults now have the stage.

From a Canadians POV, the current structure of free trade agreements lacks little incentive for continuation or renegotiation. Prime Minister Carney has spent nearly a year opening trade corridors and solidifying agreements, so that Canada is increasingly reclaiming sovereign destiny.

This analogy was what I needed.

I'm not defending any party, because governance is too fluid. But what is clear, is that incorrect decisions have protracted impact, and regardless of who governs, the public is often mislead as to 'who' influenced outcomes. Rage farmers utilize this to avoid accountability.
