When Beto ran for Senator the R:D primary vote count ratio was like 5:1 but still only drew 38k people.
Also looked at the 2018, 2020, and 2022 primaries and it looks difficult to draw too strong of conclusions from this because the numbers are all over the place. It definitely seems like the overall turnout in the Democratic primary was much higher than normal.
