SNAP bans on soda, candy and other foods take effect in five states Jan. 1 Americans in five states who get government help paying for groceries will see new limits starting Thursday on soda, candy and other foods they can buy with those benefits.

Isn't the 1st time some foods are prohibited #EBT purchases for #SNAP clients. And the "no cooked foods" thing assumes even the poorest have an equipped kitchen. Right now hunger is caused by unequal distribution of resources, not a lack of food. By 2050, the global population will reach 10 billion people. Without major changes, we will not have enough food to feed the human race.
