You've always been amazing too and it's so awesome to just see your art, even more to get some <3

A cooked turkey descending from the heavens. An astronaut reaches out gently to welcome the turkey. The text reads: The stuff dreams are made of. Cook safely. Stand by your pan. Unattended cooking is the number one cause of home fires.
Thanksgiving is coming.
That could be a Christmas card
@techconnectify.bsky.social Looks like "classic look" lights are coming into the mainstream.. They still can't quite do C9s but the minis look alright
I also would not have remembered if I didn't also have the picture you took of him taking this picture of you :D
I think @pherlofsky.bsky.social took this with my camera

Birthday art for one of my best friends @danrulz98.bsky.social based on his Freakhound
Aside from the immense moral support from everyone, my parents gave me a case of protein shakes, my secretary gave me two big containers of soup and some blueberry muffins, and @beals.gay has given me some chicken and rice dishes :)
I just constantly feel like I got kicked really hard, and this morning standing up felt like sticking a soldering iron down my pants :(
It's not all bad, I've had an incredible outpouring of support from my friends and family, and I'm extremely grateful for that :)
I just have a super low pain tolerance and they're not giving me anything extra considering all of the extra work. I've got some pills that are 5mg of hydrocodone and 325mg of acetaminophen, then they want me to stack that with 600mg of ibuprofen.
So what was supposed to be like a 45 min procedure with a 3" long incision became 2 hours, and layers of 6" long cuts... And unknown to me I could've had something really serious happen prior to this so it's good that surgery happened when it did
At that point (earlier this year) it was determined that yeah we should probably do something about that. That something was surgery that happened on November 13th.
Once doctors got in there, things were uh, worse than what was observed previously
So what happened:
In 2012 I had a hernia, was told nbd its kinda big so not a high risk of becoming strangulated (emergency situation). And.. it hasn't really bothered me that much, once in a while just kinda.. push it back in.
Lately it was bothering me more than usual so went to have it looked at
For real, doing anything but sitting in my chair is excruciating.. I'mma talk to the hospital about meds x.x
Mom: How are you going to get your shoes on at home?
Me: I'm... just not gonna worry about it for a week
The results of surgery so far
Me: Can I take an edible before surgery?
Dr.: No.. You can't eat anything 8hrs before and that would be food

I thought bluesky wasn't supposed to have an algorithm for churning up garbage, but I come here to see what my friends are up to and before I see any cool art or food pics I have to scroll through pages of politics that I am NOT subscribed to
Good morning 2024
Sometimes I want to go back in time to the 1960s and assure people that the technology to talk to a computer and have it respond in a relatively natural way does indeed exist but it sucks and no one wants to use it. Imagine Star Trek if they had to unlock a remote to do anything
