The UN has proclaimed 2026 the International Volunteer Year - a global push to better recognise, support & safeguard volunteerism.

#IVY2026 is a chance to spotlight the risks volunteers face, i.e. criminalisation of search & rescue, attacks on/silencing of humanitarian/solidarity volunteers & responders. Time to strengthen values-led volunteering & the collective stamina for long-term action.
