Also had this extra pickup on the tender for some reason? Took it off as it isnβt actually necessary, but itβs interesting regardless
Part of why I love older models is the stories some of them tell, this is a prime example of that :)

Another Statfold purchase fixed, convinced this oneβs been modified in the past, lining isnβt on right so I reckon itβs someoneβs earliest decal job
Honestly yeah, the amount of carbon which came out of the Duchessβs motor was insane, itβs what, an 80s model? Wouldnβt surprise me if itβd never been opened up, would only start crawling at full power LOL
All scrubbed out now, not bad for a Β£20 show find, must figure out the lighting though
WHERES THE COPPER
0-6-0 update: back from Morrison Loco Works with a fresh can motor repower and I've been wiring it up for DCC today.
Two gamers sitting on a couch playing a game, the right one asks βWhatβs your opinion on RADICAL TRAIN (a stage from Sonic β06, the text using the stageβs title card)β with the left one responding βAs far as Iβm concerned, all TRAINS are RADICALβ
My new Turbomotive body shell placed onto a Triang princess class chassis. The fit of the boiler is loose as the design needs adjusting before final print. The locomotive is sitting on my very untidy layout.
Still a bit of work to do, some parts aren't quite fitting properly, but here is the Turbomotive so far #modelrailway #3Dprinted #3Dprintable
God I hope the American Freedom Train 250 project dies that would be so fucking funny
GREAT NEWS!!!!! πβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
βI was groomed!!! I donβt ACTUALLY thing like that!!! Drama from 4 years ago is so outdated!!!β My guy you sent LITERAL CHILD PORN ART to one of my friends less than a year ago π
Numpty Pootis 8012 situation is crazy π
heβd do this and end up getting cursed by the ghost of malls or somethin

If you're open to suggestions... Would love to see a "Wealdstone Condition" print, post-Turbine-removal that is, everyone models 6202 in her most recognisable form but I've never seen anyone do the rebuild, if not its one that can't be too hard to replicate with traditional techniques
I've spent all day designing replacement axles for the locomotive and now they are working. The BR black J72 was dead on arrival and now, with a service and new axles, it's running great! These axles are also available FOR FREE on my #Cults3D page if you are interested:

With the Turbomotive in the process of being printed, I've started work on the next body shell. This one is an English Electric GT3. In a previous post I said I was repairing a faulty B12 chassis to use for this project, now I think I have fixed it and it runs so much better. #modelrailway #3Ddesign
Found myself inspired by a RTR bash on Ebayβ¦
A Lima 94XX on a Triang Princess chassis, fitted with Jinty wheels, all parts I have on handβ¦
Iβve subbed the old smokebox (which I didnβt have) for a Mainline Collettβs, already like 75% of the work done lol
Will this be sold once the files are complete? Iβve wanted to do the Turbomotive for a while but held it off for various reasons, lovely stuff as always man :)
Side view of my 3D printed bodyshell screwed onto a Triang Princess class chassis. This is a work in progress and therefore only the smokebox, front buffers and side turbines are present. The motor is not connected to the chassis as this is currently dead and in need of replacement.
The opposite side of the same locomotive. The bogie wheels have also been replaced with 3D printed ones, and the flanges are much more shallow.
Here's the progress so far on my #3Dprinted Turbomotive body shell. So far the fitting is great and everything screws together. Also I have replaced the old bogie wheels with new printed ones, with thinner flanges, so they should run better on modern track. #modelrailway
Another request complete! The Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends font and logo generator brings the iconic vintage aesthetic back life. Enter any text to see it in the bubble cloud with the smiling train engine (who totally isn't Thomas, legally)
Since youβre doing Top Gear ones
I am shocked to learn this is actually underestimating costs, because it ignores the infrastructure costs.
This video is lowballing it.
An actually good use for Mainline stuff???
Ideally, youβd want to use Bachmann Branchlines stuff from just after the Mainline era, most of those were upgraded with can motors (as far as I know, the 57XX is the only one with no tooling differences and still using a Ringfield)
I spent WAY too much this weekend
