Iβm back and forth for now. Bluesky has less mad right-wingery but to be honest I find lefty intolerance just as tedious.
Every new US Presidency brings a wave of articles about the 'Special Relationship' which are as tedious as they're cringe-y. Tory-boys use them to attack the left on both sides of the Atlantic; lefties attack the right ditto. Most Americans seem to wonder what on earth both sides are on about.
The thing that worries me most about Kamala Harris winning the election is the impact on Hilary Clintonβs self esteem.
I like the idea of Trump losing and being miserable about it but more than that I think I need all the worst assholes across the country to experience crippling depression and despondence
Also common: finding Nicky Haslam interesting.

On a lawn, rather overgrown, there are three garden chairs surrounding a little table. The sky is at the edge of sunset and everything is scattered with fallen beech leaves.
Now the leaves are falling fast
That's kind of you Gabriel!
I've logged out of Twitter for now: it's currently descending into a frenzy of competing disinformation accounts and racists.
Tyndall wouldn't even make it into a run down caravan park *near* Valhalla, the horrible old bastard.

I think I'm going to be on here more often, as Twitter (subsequently known as X) becomes increasingly deranged. What a sewer it is.
Happy New Year everyone!
Iβm not a massive fan of Trappist beers: too yeasty. But there are some brilliant strong beers around: Thomas Hardy Ale is well worth a try if you can find some.
This is irritating!
Guten Abend! Wie geht's?
Hiya!
