I did a map for a board game I was working on once and it was exhausting. I bow to people who have patience to work on any kind of map art.

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

The artwork showcases megalith known as Three Heads, being approached by the heavily armored Nameless Knight, followed by procession of ghosts from his Nameless Legion and a Candlebearer, a weird figure bearing candles on his shoulders and helmet. These are archetypes from upcoming soulslike TTRPG The Lands Remaining. The landscape around them is bleak, shrouded in fog, with barren rock formation and fried up, gnarled trees, the sky above them ashen and pale yellow.
