A bird I only see a few times a year (if that), a Yellow-billed Cuckoo. These birds are one of the few species able to eat hairy caterpillars. Cuckoos have a special stomach lining that prevents the prickly hairs of hairy caterpillars from doing damage to their digestive system.

Yet, freedom appeals
in Silhouette green, life forms
where the unfinished waits.

It anchors beneath..
