I got a reply from Senior Curator: Palaeontology at museum of Wales: editted to fit:
Carboniferous Limestone was correct... The fossils are corals. You can see the gridwork of the calcium carbonate 'skeleton' of the corals.. these look like several solitary corals...yours looks most like Caninia.
I am informed by a Paleontologist that based on the location found "it's probably carboniferous limestone. The fossils look like (but closer inspection is required) coral and possibly the tops of crinoids". But a botanist believes the leafy structures look like juvenile clubmoss. So... Dunno.
Another side of the same rock with more fossils appearing of similar type.
Close up of what appear to be numerous fossils of the same type.
Slightly different angle if the first side shown.
The least interesting side, except for the small hole which may or may not be another fossil.
Other angles and sides for those interested.
Swampy/wet forest area near Creigiau, Wales.
Sorry, not a geologist, just spotted it and noticed the linear pattern and picked it up. And noticed more and more detail as I turned it over.
A rock with some mixed fossils, that appear to be plants of some form. The poster is unaware.
Found during a walk in the woods.

Scary Santa is an old sepia tome photo from the 1950s. His eyes stare through your very soul and his hand is the size of a child's head.
This family photo has been in the album since I was born and is of my mom aged 5... It still gives me nightmares... "He knows when you are sleeping... he knows when you're awake..."

I am reminded of this wisdom as I sit reading the paper with a cup of coffee and contemplating the day before it runs away with itself and it becomes tomorrow.
