The government is asking for public comments on whether banks should be able to deny you from buying legal goods at their own whim (i.e. how they're cracking down on art)

Meet potential platform fighter!
Kila, a digital blue robotic antivirus with a sceen for a face and usb for a tail from the game KilaFlow, wearing a sun hat and short skirt as a Klawgrip (an crab/controller Datyte from KilaFlow) tugs on it. Kila is looking back towards the Klawgrip, but not necessarily AT it. It is unclear if Kila even cares, considering it normally wears no clothes at all.
Thank you all for waiting so patiently while I try and wrap up #KilaFlow 's development! I hope you enjoy your spring while I figure out what the word "SOON" means!

They should have announced this in a Nintendo Direct as the βone more thingβ.
We're still using the word gamer as like a soft slur in big 2026 to defend games that plagiarized the fuck out of an indie artist like what are we doing man
Something tells me i won't have time to rest until June, sigh...
It hasn't even been a week on this second semester and i already have to do a 10 minutes long oral presentation about a sensitive topic with the backing up of multiple sources for this Thursday. This came completely out of nowhere and I'm not even sure if i will have enough time for it
You've got Polish, Norwegian, Ukrainian, Hungarian, Sweedish, could game devs please bother to translate to these languages instead of the one from the country that is hellbent on erasing the culture and languages of the countries that surround it please?
And what's most infuriating about it is that on the rare occasion a dev team actually decides to translate to an Eastern European language, they almost always choose to translate it to Russian, which is extremely tone-deaf if you ask me
In general, the choice for languages to translate to that games follow has always been bizarre to me, especially regarding PAL regions. It's always English, Spanish, Italian, French and German, it's absurdly Western-Europe centric.
It's bizarre because with Spanish it's almost the opposite, Iberian/European Spanish in particular is the default and very rarely does latam get a game translation that fits their dialect.
I have to say, i feel very sorry for Portuguese people because they just never get games translated, at all. And on the rare instance where they do get something, it's always in Brazilian Portuguese and not European Portuguese.
I can safely say that nothing in Thracia776 comes even remotely close to being as insane as what Edmund is pulling, it's honestly kind of incredible. I'm not sure if an FE-styled game could even afford to do most of the stuff seen here given how volatile combat can be
Y'know, i never thought that someone would ever make an SRPG as unhinged as Kaga's latest work in FE and his spiritual follow-ups, but mewgenics proved me wrong
They're recreating the 2008 financial crash from first principles on Polymarket but you want to spend taxpayer money on hounding the guys who just won against the fucking Rothschilds in court? Alright, man.

To elaborate on this: Dating *SIMS* are what it says on the tin. The genre started not with ironic visual novels with minimal interaction, but crunchy life sims where you're juggling school, jobs, romance, etc and there's a very real chance of failure.
Those games could be surprisingly hardcore.
You really do have to take dating sims/romances seriously. Not love them. Not know everything about them. Not even play them. But take them seriously. They're a legitimate, influential, long-running genre, and the lack of awareness and acceptance in English-speaking circles should be embarrassing.
hi, I worked in indie games for 10 years and sorry, they're also burning down. you just don't hear about it because it doesn't make the news when a studio of 19 lays off 7, even when it's 200 small studios doing that
Y'know, i find it difficult to take seriously those who advocate for physical media as the definitive way of preservation when discs and cartridges are bound to rot overtime while my infinitely clonable ROMs of old games will last me for all my life
My second semester begins this Wednesday, here's hoping this second half goes as smoothly as my first. I still have to think of better plans to advertise my translation services once I'm done with my studies, but i imagine having a master's degree on my curriculum will help with that
dude they're nerfing your boss fight based on social media reactions. yeah your otherwise unique and challenging encounter is now pretty trivial and you have super exploitable weaknesses now just because genre newcomers didn't understand your fairly straightforward patterns
I can respect releasing the games separately so that people don't have to buy compilations with other crap they might not want, but like, come the fuck on dude
20 dollars for an unaltered GBA ROM lmaooooo
Meowgenics is a banger tho, probably the first one that has truly clicked for me
It all boils down to the counterattack system and turns being all player units>all enemy units rather than a more chess-like turn order, those two things alone basically make them a subgenre of their own, and it's likely why i love FE-likes but usually don't vibe with traditional SRPGs
Idk if I've already talked about it here, but my time with meowgenics and other SRPGs outside of FE-likes has made me realize that, despite FE being currently one of the main representatives of the genre, it has as much in common with traditional SRPGs as plat fighters have with traditional fighters
