(I should be clear that I have no idea who AndyPants Gaming is and am not personally calling them a racist but whatever lol)

WE LOVE WORKERS
This is true I was there
Yeah, it felt like a season-long pilot to me, in which the actual pilot is still the best episode.
I genuinely love making games am I insane
Note I didnโt say it was bad/I specifically said Iโm not judging them for it - I donโt think people should stop celebrating art when things are bad. The art feels hollow when none of it is addressed at all, though.
I keep feeling so odd seeing celebrities at these awards shows. Iโm not criticizing them for it, nor even judging them. It just feels a bit dystopian.
Honestly same. All-female RE dev team when?
A great analysis about the current situation. Playing games anywhere is ideal, but the miscommunication of "This Is An Xbox" marked change for the status quo. Cloud gaming has been growing and somewhat improving over the last few years. It makes sense for Xbox and other companies to pursue this path
so this is a blatant lie
Yuuuup
Iโm planning to stream the whole thing (but I will chat much less than my usual streams - more focused on the game like in those videos!), so itโll be on m.youtube.com/@AlanahStrea...
No the fuck Iโm not
Yes, this is correct! They are going for this buzzword idea to manipulate stock. They are NOT trying to forcibly sunset Xbox.
Agree w this! The lie is that it wonโt be โAI slopโ. Of course it will.
Iโm not sure why youโre being so aggressive about this? Iโm not โtaking them at their wordโ, Iโm taking them at every single financial move theyโve made over the last 5 years. Their business plans are extremely transparent. They want everyone to use AI, and want to be the forefront of it for gaming.
Clearly Microsoft does not agree with that, hence hiring an AI CEO to figure out how to implement it most effectively. Itโs MS using the same โTrojan horseโ strategy theyโve used before - they want their AI on as many devices as possible, and Xbox is one of those.
โฆthey hired Asha specifically to put AI in gaming.
A video worth your time to check out from @charalanahzard.bsky.social, as its a more objective piece about the changes happening in Xbox's leadership and the road ahead. A far better examination than most of the coverage that comes off as doom-projecting. #Xbox
You donโt put someone with two years of AI experience in charge of a game company unless your goal is to figure out how to make that company more profitable by way of AI integration. Absolutely 0 reason to hire the head of CoreAI if youโre โcutting it up for partsโ.
You genuinely watched this video and didnโt see the argument against thatโฆ?
This is an excellent overview from @charalanahzard.bsky.social on what's going on with Xbox and the ramifications of what means for the gaming industry and consoles. There's a lot packed in to just over 15 minutes here.
This is the smartest analysis of the Xbox news I've seen.
This change at Xbox didnโt happen because Xbox is dead, or failing, or because itโs โlosingโ to PlayStation and Nintendo. I also donโt believe Asha Sharma was hired to โsunsetโ the brand in any way (that one doesnโt make any sense to me at all!).
Letโs talk about it:

I wish I could come up with a compelling counter-argument here, but no. @charalanahzard.bsky.social is right, as usual. It's the end of consoles as we know them (and I don't feel fine).

Amongst all of the discourse surrounding this recent news regarding leadership changes at Xbox, this analysis from @charalanahzard.bsky.social is especially relevant and adds much-needed necessary context.
