Why is the Right letting China occupy first place in the race to power the global energy economy?
I'm not surprised! 99% of climate denial is not science denial; rather, it's solution aversion (people believe the solutions pose a greater threat than the risks) that then drives motivated reasoning to determine why climate action is not needed. Rejecting the science is the symptom, not the cause.
Did you know that 80-90% of Americans underestimate the degree of public concern and support for climate change policies among the public? Americans truly are experiencing what Sparkman et al. call a "false social reality" that perpetuates needless division among Americans.
This administration's approach is clear to anyone paying attention: stop gathering data, replace information with ideology/propaganda, create scapegoats to blame for societal problems that data could have predicted:
