I've taken a fellow bsky member's advice and have begun blocking anyone who does not allow my reply to their post. Don't have the cojones to listen to a counterpoint? Then I'm ignoring your point, whatever it might be.

He spent a fair time discussing his religion. Crockett spent much more time saying how she'd fight battles in the Senate. And...he was a state representative, she was a US Representative. Lots more relevant experience.
Makes for a lot of inexpensive breakfasts.
Haven't had CoW in years though I did like it. For a change of pace try cornmeal mush; "sunny morning". Mix cornmeal with cold water, then heat to boiling. Takes a little more time to cook. Pour leftovers into a greased loaf pan and refrigerate. Slice, roll in flour, and fry for breakfast tomorrow.
You can still get it on Amazon, around $4 a box in multiples. I personally preferred Ralston but that's Unobtainium.☹️
But I also saw the majority of the congregation outside of church. Quite different. So I have reasons for suspicions that just won't quit. Especially when it seems that all the "true Christians" simply aren't providing enough of a voice against the Chrisofascists to matter.☹️
He may indeed retain those religious views throughout his term. And he'd certainly be a better choice right now than whatever Repub he runs against. FWIW I was brought up in Christianity that espoused pacifism. Even strongly considered becoming a preacher.
Admittedly Talarico is more likely than Crockett to win in deep-red Texas. But with his religious views, I wonder/fear that he may end up doing a Fetterman and become a DINO.
He's more likely to win in TX than Crockett would have been...but his religious views make me wonder/fear that he will end up as a DINO.
It might be thought by some that this law would be useless, as fully-automatic weapons are illegal w/o the proper license. However, it would bring full awareness to the population that "THIS is not permitted, and you will be prosecuted!!"
Candidates who profess deep Christianity are not to be trusted. If he beats Jasmine Crockett in the primaries (FSM forbid) and is elected, I fully expect a Fetterman transition shortly thereafter.
Pam Bondi: We're moving on from Epstein The Internet: The fuck you are.
Mariel Hemingway. My second-favorite celebrity crush of all time. (Mariette Hartley is my first; tall redheads do me.) If either one ever asks...yes, I'm available. I'll get the wife to understand.😘
Even the secondary bow, which was probably much brighter to the eye than to the camera. The reversal of colors in the 2ndary bow always blows my mind! Physics rules!!
We are strong. We have big bombs. They make big booms.
Good news: broccoli and broccoli crowns are the same price in the local supermarket. At least I don't have to pay $2.99/lb for largely-useless stems.
Make it a law (FWIW I'm a 70-yr-old male): for the next 40 years ONLY women are eligible for elected and/or appointed offices -- federal, state, and/or local. Men have demonstrated quite clearly that they are far too irrational, too driven by money and power, to be entrusted with any office.
Gotta shampoo my hair. I'm almost bald but gotta clean the few hairs I have.
...so the org chairperson went to the bank, found that the account didn't exist, etc.
Now the question is: What is the best way to string the scammer along?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
A new-to-me scam...a nearby animal shelter/humane society received a donation -- a check for $5000. Then the donor contacted the nonprofit org and said "it was only supposed to be $3000, could you send me a check for the $2000 difference?" Alarm bells. Check supposedly came from six states away...
Dear Mr. Hegseth, please crawl back into your Wild Turkey 101 bottle, and pull the cork in behind you.
He'd dismiss video & audio of world leaders (and his own followers) saying what they actually *think* of him, as fake news and AI-constructed misinformation. Delusional to the thousandth power...
By that logic, CEOs should be considered heroes, based on the effort and sacrifices they've gone through.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
And let's not ignore the outrageous money paid in pro sports...AVERAGE salary for NFL players in 2025 was $840,000.
I would love to be as gay, annoying, beautiful, polite, beloved, etc., etc., as her!
To all Democrats attending the State of The Shithole Country address tonight: when the Tangerine Palpatine gets applause, do not respond with "BOO". Respond with laughter. Real, belly-shaking laughter. It will be far more effective than any other possible response.
Tentatively, yes, but I recognize my lack of expertise in many areas of science. And I have serious memory issues over the last decade that limit me.☹️
Pew Research provided a brief rundown on religions that favor and oppose abortion.
www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/...
I don't recall offhand, but I've read that the southern baptists became rather rabid sometime in the 50s or 60s. Before that they had little to say about it.
Funny how so many sects only became rabid anti-abortion fanatics when it was found to be a great talking point for politics. Also funny that there are many christian sects (and jewish) that permit abortion. Almost like there's no consistency in religion...
I love seeing the reversal of colors in the secondary bow!
