It’s -9 degrees. Downtown Minneapolis is packed for the anti-ICE rally and the crowd keeps growing

The funniest shit is that I feel like the huge turnout downtown is almost because of the cold not in spite of it. The fact that it’s -10 degrees out led to just more defiance, like thousands out there saying, it isn’t even that bad out.

β€œInternal bleeding” can literally just mean a bruise.

Honest journalism would cover how murderer & domestic terrorist, Jonathan Ross, was part of Border Patrol before he joined ICE, and that Border Patrol’s tactics include stepping in front of a moving vehicle to β€œjustify” deadly force

As they were leaving one scene, federal agents dropped tear gas canisters out of their moving vehicles in a residential neighborhood, seemingly just because they could.

One landed right at the feet of video journalist Jon Farina.

Kristi Noem, herself, supplied the method used to ID the agent. She said he "been dragged by a vehicle” in an earlier incident.

@startribune.com reporters, who know their way around court records, quickly unearthed his name and confirmed his identity.

MNSPJ condemns St. Paul police attacks on journalists

The Minnesota Society of Professional Journalists strongly condemns attacks on journalists by law enforcement on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025, during a federal operation in St. Paul.

At least three local photojournalists were injured by less-lethal munitions deployed by St. Paul police officers while covering the story. One was transported to the hospital in an ambulance. All three journalists were clearly identified as press with badges and/or vests, in addition to having cameras in hand, clearly at work. All three photojournalists and multiple other local journalists on scene were also injured by chemical irritants.

Kerem YΓΌcel, with MPR News, was hit by a less-lethal munition in the shoulder and was transported to a hospital by ambulance. He has since been released and is recovering. Tim Evans, a freelance photojournalist with Reuters, was struck in the stomach with a pepper ball round. Aaron Nesheim, a photojournalist with Sahan Journal, was struck in the head with a pepper ball round. Evans and Nesheim did not require hospitalization.

The three journalists hit by munitions shared with MNSPJ that they believe they were targeted by law enforcement for doing their jobs. Photojournalists are on the frontlines of documenting history and it is imperative that they are kept safe and their First Amendment rights are protected.

Attacking journalists sends a message to both journalists and everyday citizens that their First Amendment rights will not be respected. The First Amendment protects the rights of journalists to report on their communities and provide information that communities need β€” information that, on Tuesday, was not transparently available from any law enforcement agency.

We demand answers from St. Paul city leadership about why the city’s police department attacked our colleagues and a commitment to seeing that this will never happen again.

From the MN Society for Professional Journalists: St. Paul police shot three photojournalists (MPR, Reuters, Sahan Journal) with "less lethal" munitions during an ICE operation yesterday. One had to go to the hospital. They say they were specifically targeted by St. Paul police.

Study finds mRNA coronavirus vaccines prolonged life of cancer patients A study found that covid-19 vaccines appeared to awaken the immune system in lung and skin cancer patients, helping them live longer than those not vaccinated.

Covid-19 vaccines, credited with saving millions of lives during the pandemic, set off a powerful alarm that rallies the human immune system against cancer and nearly doubles the median survival length of patients, according to a new retrospective study.

We have come to expect a dose of political theater in the political branches, drama designed to rally the base or to rile or intimidate political opponents. We also may expect there a measure of bending sometimes breaking the truth. By design of the Founders, the judicial branch stands apart. We rule on facts, not on supposition or conjecture, and certainly not on fabrication or propaganda. I urge my colleagues on this court to act swiftly to vacate the majority's order before the illegal deployment of troops under false pretenses can occur. Above all, I ask
those who are watching this case unfold to retain faith in our judicial system for just a little longer.

Chicago columnist wonders if a team that:
1. has made the playoffs 7 out of the last 8 seasons
2. lost a one-run Game 7 of the NLCS during their current run
3. had the best regular season record in baseball this year

Will be satisfied after ousting the Cubs. Wow.

Genuinely have no idea what will happen in Bears-Vikings tonight...
72-0 Bears? Sure.
Vikes 23-17 and McCarthy looks meh? Ok.
9-6 ugly slugfest? Won't argue.

My "favorite" Kessler "fact check" was when he called Bernie Sanders a liar for correctly noting that "Three people in this country own more wealth than the bottom half of America." Kessler's argument was that it doesn't count because "people in the bottom half have essentially no wealth."
