The hunt is at least one full year away, and the show at least 2.5 years away. At this point, Christmas 2028 is the earliest possible revival air date.

I think this story would be one of the best to remake in modern times. The backstory and characterizations of the Three Who Rule are fascinating--clinging to humanity, but not wanting to be human---"But why am I still afraid?"
A deep dive where I explain the real backstory to the design for the 1990 Topps set:

Enoch being Russellβs son blew my mindβsomehow Russellβs real surname being Enoch had escaped me, and the father-son relationship would never have occurred to me de novo given the well above average age gap.
I didnβt know until researching this post by you that that actor is Troughtonβs grandson, but I know him from the Harry Potter films. Reminds me of my shock recently when William Russell died and discovering that other Potter actor, Alfred Enoch, who is his son. Odd DW connections!
Thanks for watching!
I canβt wait to listen. I think this is my most-watched classic story!
I have always hated 1990 Toppsβuntil now. I spent the last couple of weeks doing a deep, deep dive into where this design came from, and now I appreciate it in a way I never did before.

Does Martin know you are posting pics of him without his permission??
I also think C Baker is a poor actor but oddly his approach actually worked well. The writing for him was the problem.
Someday I'll watch Survival again--I can't possibly dislike it as I did the first time. Back then, I hated the 7th Doctor, I hated Ace, I hated the music, basically I hated everything. Now I have come to appreciate most--although I still think McCoy is generally a poor actor.
I must be the weirdest McCoy fan. I hated every one of his stories on first viewing. Still seen Survival just once. Hated it. Even Remembrance does nothing for me. But I love Happiness Patrol, Paradise Towers, and Greatest Show.
Excellent episode with really interesting ideas, and I learned a lot, especially from @davidkitchen.bsky.social thanks to his experience. Very well done and very much enjoyed!

Are those drawings intentionally poor likenesses of the actors to avoid paying royalties?
Well deserved!
