Today is the feast day of St Mungo, also known as Kentigern, the seventh century patron of Glasgow whose miracles are represented on the city's coat of arms. Happy feast day to all Glaswegians wherever you are.

Following a white man to war because you disliked the sound of a black woman laughing will go down in American history as one of the dumbest acts of self-sabotage ever.

A dark grey grave marker, the top two thirds covered in green lichen. At the top of the stone an hourglass lying on its side is carved and below that a skull and crossbones.

It has obviously undergone a recent refurbishment as older photos I've seen show it in a very dilapidated condition.
