Important review published for environment and agriculture. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Heart breaking news for #cleddauriver , the nature it should support and the communties who live along it. Main contributor from the evidence is agriculture so its vital we all now work together and get funding in to regenerate and support farmers to chnage practices afonyddcymru.org/river-water-...
The evidence on the negative impact we have on natural processes just hets worse and worse.

So lovely to see Fishguard #Pembrokeshire being promoted. I hope to do the Saints and Stones Pilgrimage including the Irish leg connecting with people over there working on similar regeneration projects. This has given me the inspiration / reminder to start planning.

The net zero businesses accounted for 1.1% of the UKβs total GVA, making it bigger than the farming and advertising and market research sectors. The net zero sector is also expanding strongly, with the 10% growth in 2024 following a 9% jump in 2023. www.theguardian.com/environment/...
Had a great afternoon meeting with RSA Welsh associates. We created a space for deep and reciprocal conversation. Left feeling up - lifted with sense of emerging potential for collaboration with group of people wouldnβt otherwise meet.
Lucky to have visited Car y Mor #seaweed and multi- tropic farm based in #pembrokeshire today. Amazing to see their growth over the last few years. Being an innovative pathfinder business is hard, so big up to their vision and all the hard work that goes into making it happen.
Itβs a big issue in my local river and so I am part of Save the Teifi campaign group which is having an impact. Getting involved can enable change. I
Attending Cwm Arian event for Nyfer am Byth project to learn about the importance of Welsh names to understand the history and landscape of the area. Understanding this cultural relationship to land and river is vital part of the rivers restoration. Great passionate presentation.
More detail on oyster restoration project in #pembrokeshire
Great to see it getting visibility and sharing ways we can restore marine ecosystems.

Senedd members warned of a public health emergency due to the dominance of ultra-processed food in peopleβs diets
This is what mutual beneficial regenerative relationship looks like.
#Pembrokeshire has Wales only #seaweed farm: Car y Mor which is actually a multi tropic regenerative ocean farm. Itβs now supplying a really exciting oyster restoration project in another part of the country. This gives me hope β€οΈ
A recent report I commissioned looking at governance for climate, nature and food in Pembrokeshire highlighted the big gap around food and lack of integration with climate and nature objectives. This this article provides a great list of actions to take to the PSB - a must deliver under the #wfgact
Great article @iwa-wales.bsky.social by
@duncanfisher.bsky.social on the urgent action needed to improve our broken food system and make it resilient to future shocks and inevitable changes. Content from Tim Lang's recent report incl. list of big ideas and actions.

Agree adding in that we need more organic, regeneratively produced veg and meat in Wales. To find a market for this higher value, higher nutrition produce, public procurement needs to enable local supply chains and access for lower income families systems established. Other countries doing already.
Productive day: West Wales Nutrient Management TAG hearing from First Milk about supporting regenerative farming; meeting @pcfcic.bsky.social on natural capital assessment of local farms; meeting colleagues who have given green light to my suggestions for system analysis in conservation programme ππ»
Shame that a legal process is required. Perhaps a consequence of current systems for conflict resolution not being fit for purpose. All those involved have a passion for nature and the local area but the devil is in the detail and tricky balance of βsustainabilityβ in a nature crisis.
Helped set up the partnership to enable this to happen. Excited to connect history to the present and vision for the future of my local river.
Anyone based in West Wales or generally interested in local activism on climate and nature then check out this show. Today had a very moving interviews with parents of climate activists jailed and awaiting trial. Recommend their instagram account Freethefilton18

Committe report even made the Guardian! Nature emergency declared in Wales in 2021 yet the government says they are still not acting in way needed. WG trying hard in some areas but the politics is tough for system change in agriculture and food sector especially.
