So, my #fpl season ended alright in the end. Just outside the top 10k which is my highest ever rank. I’ve only REALLY been playing properly since 2020/21. Every other season I was a casual player, forgetting game weeks etc.
It’s just egg on my face this week.
I think this is just a hangover from making my team fit for the bench boost. Usually all the best players are in my 11, & the bench is noticeably more backup than this one.
Not sure I’d like to see rules changed - one of life’s great joys is seeing someone in your mini league in this situation. 😂
You’ll notice I passive aggressively put the word captain in quotation marks. Very mature of me.

A lack of preparation & the fact that my team went all in on the doubles means I’m free hitting.
The trouble with that is that common sense when picking players means 8/9 of my team will match every one else who’s free hitted.
Also free hitting in a single gameweek is LAME.

The trouble with this team is that whoever I left on my bench is guaranteed to have a clean sheet and a goal. Go get your bets on.
Wildcarded last week and essentially set myself team up for the next 3 weeks.
This week is the triple captain week.
Next week is bench boost.
Then it’s a free hit.
Then I am out of chips and back to taking -4’s and -8’s Willy Nilly.
