"Immigration enforcement" is about to get $175 billion to spend over the next 4.25 years.
For some perspective: Last year's budget for the entire Russian MILITARY was $146 billion.

Had a great time kicking off the #retail track at #GS1Connect25 here in Nashville. Amy Reiter put together two days of great talks about retail, #AI #RFID, #2D barcodes and more!
I mean, nothing but the best people right? How the hell are you an adult in this country that doesn't know there's a hurricane season?
I am excited to be part of #GS1Connect25. I hope you can join me at the opening keynote, Tech Top Hits, How AI, AR and RFID will come together to create a great retail experience. #GS1ConnectSpeaker gs1us.org/education-an...
You weren't alone is that!

For new followers, I started doing #VR work back in the early 90's. Had a chance to go through some VR history last year at the NY VR meetup. Had a lot of fun telling stories from those early days!

so glad she was able to speak about what happened to her (is still happening). she was selected against her will to become the subject of national attention that was extreme in its arbitrariness and in its hatefulness. just a laser-focused beam of hate directed right on this 19yp girlβs head
The GOP continues its efforts to be the party of free speech.
Thanks, I guess once you reach Medicare age, your confidence increases. Playing with some purple this week too.
TBC, if your business needs you to steal from others to make money, you don't have a business.

The First Amendment only protects breaking into the Capitol and not having to hear about DEI; it doesnβt protect protesting or representing people.
For those who forgot what life was like before the EPA existed. I remember the hazy smog that used to hang over NYC.

Some insights that still hold true today:
When it comes to content, #GenZ snacks and eats full meals. Yes, they like short form content to keep them occupied, but they also enjoy long form content as well.
If the experience of free is better than the experience of paid, then they won't be paying!
10 years ago, Sydney & William became some of the youngest speakers ever at @sxsw.com! They were 13 & couldn't have done a better job. They got some awesome comments, like - "Great #TeenTalk panel with an utterly terrified audience of adult marketers." Simon Jones #SXSW

The fun thing about being an old white guy with blue hair is having random strangers stop to tell me how much they like it . It's good to get compliments!
Mark Cuban on federal cuts: "This is a bigger issue than people realize. Not just jobs lost. But their families losing benefits. Landlords losing tenants. Cities and towns losing revenue. This is how recessions start. Ready Fire Aim is no way to govern."

Listen, no doubt that there are individuals who have committed Medicare fraud, but the big money is on corporate fraud. Like when HCA paid more than $1.7 billion to settle fraud lawsuits. But, no one really wants to hurt these corp guys, right?

AT 65, I'm not sure that anyone in my generation would disagree with you. I do have hope when I see my 23 yo daughter is working her way through the world. Maybe Iceland is a good example of what can be done.
Love the hair too. Playing with new blues as well.

How sad is it that so many people admire Trump & Musk and yet the 2 of them are so, completely unlikable. They have no real friends, their families tolerate them for money/power and they don't even have pets. At least past robber barons had personality and did something good for society.
This is why so many people in this country hate insurance companies.

Huge fan of going to an actual movie theater, just saw My Dead Friend Zoe. Seeing a movie in a theater with an audience creates a group catharsis that rarely happens at home. Part of the issue is the distractions at home that donβt happen in the theater.

I know everyone likes to point at Twitter and say "Look at how Elon cut staff there and saved money," but that's really not the full story.
Since he took over, they've lost 40% of their revenue and 80% of their valuation.
That's not a success story.
From using private security to block elected officials from entering government buildings to making sure we have no ability to find out what they're doing, these guys are going to screw up our country for decades.
Today's memory! 11 years ago, my wife and daughter made an igloo in our backyard. It was solid enough that we had dinner there and they spent the night.
Selective outrage of the right.
Thank you @andykimnj.bsky.social for doing that. Next time, take everyone else from @housedemocrats.bsky.social with you.
