Joey is prone to choke bc of his toe back, and I’m ngl, a lot of people don’t know what choke looks like. Videos of some horses choking is like, shocking to me cause they’re not even salivating and everyone’s having a meltdown 😅

Also yes I haven’t been around for two months, mainly bc I’ve been in septic system replacement mode which is not for the faint of heart. But Joey and I are doing well besides that!!!

Saw a sun dog this morning, my horse seems to be making peace with the new mare, and everyone had their own hay pile this afternoon, I don’t think I can ask for much more 🥰

(For reference he had a very bad experience last time we introduced a horse and he really loves his mares so I don’t blame him for being protective and they’re really just pinning ears at each other from like 50 feet away LOL)

How do I tell my horse to stop being mean to the new mare in his field 😂😂😂😂

I don’t think he has a preference but we do lots of flexion and bending work so I think I would want a softer, flexible rein!!
