depends how you handle unlit objects, but if you are rigidly sticking to palettes and software rendering, I recommend having a few slots for full bright colours, like the Quake 1 palette that used them for flames/lights within wall and model textures (last 2 rows) quakewiki.org/wiki/Quake_p...

not very far, just done the blood starved beast in old yarnham and about to go on to the cathedral. i'd pretty much got that far on ps4 before i decided to start again on PC as its much nicer.
yeah obv im a complete sucker for OTT gothic architecture, but its got a very strange atmosphere that is unmatched. A lot of is to do with the voice artists, they do pick some wierd ones but it works great.
shadPS4, any resolution you want and with 60fps patch. currently playing through it now - its still stunning.

another staggeringly busy week, deadline to finish their term project and obviously every student leaves it to the very last minute then hammers me with requests simultaneously because its URGENT. Absolutely exhausting, but incredibly rewarding when it comes together and you share their excitement.
agree with all of this from personal experience. When I eventually played BF2 after DC I was so disappointed that the heli controls were so simplified it lost all the crazy stunt stuff that expert DC pilots could do.

Back to 'school' tomorrow, i've been working as a 3D Design Technician at a local college for the past 4 months, hence the lack of posts recently. I needed a change from games but didnt know what to do so just randomly applied. Not sure if its a long term prospect but having fun learning CNC stuff!
(only think im not sure of is 'cake' shambler, but I digress.. ;-) )
so downloaded and yeah, its good! Obviously havent scratched the surface of the 70+ levels which might vary wildly but the random few ive played so far have been fun. The new weapons and enemies are great. And the 'start' hub/level select area is fantastic. Highly recommended download!

I played about 15 minutes of Resi 7 before noping out. Never even got to a jumpscare, just couldnt take the atmosphere. I'm such an absolute wuss when it comes to horror games.
I always liked the way this used craters connected with tunnels. Im entirely positive it was a purely technical restriction why it was that way but it just worked and gave it a unique charm.

I've had the exact same shower thought myself, only difference being that the merc group operates from an Aircraft carrier (which you can upgrade over time) which allows for a greater variety of theatres
