A number of people who were there and who have knowledge of CAMS have said it's been a ongoing issue with CAMS even though IGTC was technically running the event, I don't generally remember something like this happening in recent years elsewhere where the race is directly run by SRO...

laundry list of issues finally got to the point where it wasn't feasible to fix

stuff like the wheel bearings and suspension was doable, what isn't was combination of replacing the rear main seal to stop the oil leak, rear wiring harness replacement (unobtainium) and rust forming on the frame rails
