i read I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream for the first time last night, and was prepared to write an essay styled analysis on the story to a friend who also read the story, but then they sent a Picmix edit of AM to me and it made me lose my mind so bad i couldn't write my analysis
yeah, i talk about it with my therapist all the time, how i know what is objectively true but parts of my brain doesn’t care about that, just wallows in anguish. and it’s always there, just louder and more disruptive when i’m having a depressive episode

not to mention i’m tired quite literally all the time, my brain never feels completely clear and i sleep way too much lol 😭
My therapy regimen has been great, and helpful on its own, but i’d like to stop catastrophizing what should be minor inconveniences for me at best, and i’d like the times where my mood is stable to not just feel like the calm before the next storm
i’ve decided on getting a referral to a psychiatrist to see if antidepressants are right for me. these past couple of weeks pushed me in that direction. my depression interrupts my daily life, regularly—and i’d like to feel more consistently functional

nope! she's also made sure to tell me she is not qualified to recommend any type of medication to me as she's not a psychiatrist, but if i ever decide i want to start an antidepressant, she can refer me to one so i can discuss my options with them :-]
