There are many little other tricks under the hood, some are also only for lower tier machine & some mobile device: I simplified some of the animations/logic, reduced the size of textures, models etc…
instancedMesh widely for all small reusable items, even those with physics. I also capped to 60/30/10fps, depending on how many times a logic/item requires updates without hurting visually. I even have items updating only at some strategic moment so its easier on user's machine
With +100 models and roughly ≃150 physics items loaded in the main scene, Aurel’s Grand Theater needed to be coded with performance in mind from the start. Aside from low poly models and all the classic tricks, I used...🧵

I had so much fun coding so many little details on my new portfolio. Did you notice the paper dust flying when tearing a ticket? A few subtle particles going in nearly random directions/speeds are created when you click on a ticket 🎟️ Also, all tickets are unique with ... 🧵👇
