We moan about retailers selling Christmas produce earlier and earlier every year, a phenomenon called Christmas creep, however the snowdrops are getting in on the act. This is the classic Christmas snowdrop ‘Three Ships’ nearly in flower at the weekend. #fairviewyearround

I’ve looked for mine in the woods and no sign yet. On the nursery in a more sheltered area they are coming into flower.

Yes they are. Galanthus reginae-olgae start to flower from the middle of September, they are natives of Greece. They always flower without their leaves, these develop afterwards.
