It‘s so bad!!! Why?!! Like genuinely first half I thought this is intentionally fun and campy and then wtf
Immediately the bees dying thing got me. I don‘t hate it I think I liked the first half more though, when I was still questioning where this was going and it was more subtle.
Harrison Ford as a younger man, standing in the sun, wearing sunglasses and a navy longsleeve and navy short shorts, plus a pair of brown loafers. He looks into the camera laughing. In the background are palm trees and a mansion.
People online are annoying me. Here‘s Harrison Ford in short shorts.

Idk about this one. Its message is undeniably important, but too heavyhanded in execution - the ending ultimately predictable. Great performances & cinematography, some really fun ideas but also kind of an homage to The X-Files (and Lynch). Maybe unnecessarily gory but that‘s my preference. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Some guy just told me this show is objectively bad so I guess I‘m just too stupid to see it
- for ALT texts link to post here it‘s too long:

Idk if you‘re watching Academy and I don‘t think it‘s a perfect show or anything but I‘m enjoying a lot of what they‘re doing but people are being weird again

The best episodes are the ones which run both at once! Worf faces a conundrum which could destroy the Klingon empire; meanwhile Geordi is trying to teach Data how to make a soufflé. Stakes EXACTLY EQUAL
You‘re so right lol
Same
Aber die Obst Flatrate!
Tbf those people are probably complaining that Trek is too woke now cause that was the bar, but I just had to read someone arguing that TOS was a feminist text
Ahahah
Exactly. Trek is also 50 other things.
So muss das.
Other people preferred the morality plays or thought experiments, but don‘t forget Scotty regularly got into fist fights and TOS had „Trouble with Tribbles“.
*thing
I was a child! I liked „Data‘s Day“ and the Holodeck episodes! I liked flyboy Tom Paris and when there was any well written character my age (Wesley, Icheb). I liked The Doctor singing opera and when they blew up the whole ship again!
The things about Star Trek is that it‘s always had such a range of storytelling even within each different show that people now remember only the ones they liked best and forgot about the others (or deride them as „filler“) and decided these ones are the actual „Star Trek“.
People are mad that the #StarfleetAcademy season finale has - mild spoiler - apocalyptic stakes. uh yah. It‘s a YA „genre“ show. Do you remember being 15? Do you remember Buffy Anne „She Saved the World a Lot“ Summers? Never mind streaming TV is now expected to keep up with movies.

Do not cite the deep magic to me, I was there when it was written
I‘m so tired of the people who seemingly only watch this to complain about it. Are we not all exhausted enough yet? Do we really need more reasons to be angry?

It isn’t generative AI. It’s trained on cinematography to help with editing, by pointing out when there are errors in things like lighting and lack of continuity, and to assist in producing dailies.
