That original pose was such a hilariously bad decision that I sometimes find it hard to believe that it made it past editing. 🤣
And of course as soon as the public got a look at it and started laughing, Lucasfilms edited it and it was changed by the time of releasing the full length trailer.
I remember when they had to digitally modify the footage of the scene that screen cap is from to put Vader's arms down by his sides instead of looking like he's doing Jazz hands. 😉
