as a fan of Marvel comics in the 70 to the 90s I I think yall kinda lost. Yall really have too many comics and direction is all over the place. Time scale down, trim the fat. Get lean. I love y’all but DC… they taking yall lunch money. Nuff said.
So is there a book of the year that actually got released? I mean, what book was the most standup book of the year? I don’t think anything in the ultimate title was great. I’m saying absolute ww has been phenomenal and absolute Batman is just nonstop action.
What’s really cool about Comics is that the genres nowadays are so broad that any and everything you pick up can be come an addiction and a good read, but my question is are you all about the artist or all about the story?
I’m gonna be honest there is not anything happening in the world today that I did not read in a Comic Book in 1982 till now. I’m just being honest a lot of the things that I read in my life and I see on TV was in a comic book way before it happened. That’s all for now.
Maybe I’m a bit over exaggerating but I drive two hours to my favorite comic book store before I drive 15 minutes to my most hated Comic bookstore. Maybe it’s the vibe. Maybe it’s the thought of my books. Maybe it’s the comic book shop itself very nostalgic for me. Am I crazy or not?
2025. Marvel needs operate outside continuity, DC knows how to reinvent Characters(Martian Manhunter), Image is full of talent, exploration and still got that still new feel, BoomStudios know horror, thrillers, DarkHorse could go darker, and the age of superhero’s is still alive. Well kinda.
I really think that Marvel needs to have a “Planet Thing” or something like that. Just how monstrous and epic it would be if you had a berserker Ben Grimm. Ijs yes the ever loving thing is a fave but to have him earning his stripes battle planet style would be awesome @marvelcomicshqs.bsky.social
