that's honestly so fair, from experience with other games (specifically one that happens to rhyme with Court "Blight") live events and cool story tidbits leaked all the time and it kinda ruined the experience for others, and esp with how deep the story goes here that's a good idea

as far as I'm aware I was able to complete contracts but maybe I misremembered. Rook specifically does say though that "Contracts are not available as a Rook" though
Hate to be the "erm actually" but there ARE solo lobbies. You can go in alone with any shell (minus Rook) and you'll ONLY fight other solo players. I do think some of the critiques here are valid! But also, they're addressing everything, and trying to streamline the experience before launch.

Adding on to this, the lack of shields and healing items and sometimes even ammo is very frustrating. Time to kill is too fast without a good shield, and you can't buy shields in the armory. Another thing, the NPCs can be super frustrating to deal with. 8/10 matches on average I die to an NPC.
okay so initial impressions on the Marathon Server Slam:
GOOD - The game is somewhat fun, specifically abilities feel balanced, gunplay is crisp, good variety of tools at my disposal!
BAD - The lack of loot variety can be very exhausting. The most common thing I'll find during a run is junk loot.
