The #Celtics title window
And Scheierman was a 24 year old rookie so maybe the comp fits lol
Not a Celtic but a young Joe Ingles seems like an obvious comp
#NERevs
MitroviΔ talked a lot about setting a new standard going into the year and that certainly wasnβt met tonight, letβs see how the players respond next week. #NERevs
This may be a bold take but Iβm very excited for the upcoming #NERevs season and am confident they will be a much improved team now led by a competent head coach.
Planting the seeds for future generations
Absolutely beautiful, one of the best home jerseys the #NERevs have ever had.
My lifelong sports dream of attending a World Cup game will come true this summer. Haiti vs Scotland here I come.
Isaiah Thomas to his agent when he hears the #Celtics have 3 open roster spots
I hope Thanasis comes out and requests a trade in the next couple of hours stating he can no longer win in Milwaukee. #NBATradeDeadline #NBA
Forget the hospital Celtics, tonight was the hospice Celtics and they get the win of the year. I love this team.
Mitchell, Harden and SchrΓΆder being teammates means we can bring back this all timer pic
Theyβre only a game up on 5th, I wouldnβt assume that.
The #Celtics have fully hit the dog days of the season. Not playing good basketball the last couple of weeks and itβs cost them in the standings, now only a game ahead of 5th.
#Celtics turning the worst loss of the season into one of the wackier wins Iβve seen in years lol
10 of the #Celtics 16 losses this season have been by 6 points or less, which includes all of their last 5 losses. That is rather annoying.
Watching the #Celtics in the 4th after seeing how the first 3 quarters went.
I donβt think it can be considered among the most disastrous until Luka wins a title with LA, if that ever happens. I think the KG/Pierce trade to Brooklyn that landed the Cβs Tatum/Brown and Banner 18 is still worse.
While everyone is complaining about the officiating the real story of the game last night is that the #Celtics continue to be a bad clutch team. They have the 4th worst net rating in clutch situations this season, including the 3rd lowest rebounding % and 3rd highest TOV %.
Of course!
Nike has been maddeningly inconsistent with #USMNT jerseys since taking over so par for the course for them to create one of the best and worst jerseys of all time for the World Cup.
May Jaylen Brown never win a player of the month award again. #Celtics
We are still years away from construction even starting (there are still many more hoops to jump through) but this is a momentous day in #NERevs history. For the first time in a long time, I am really excited about the direction of the club both on and off the field.
MitroviΔ is following Mikey Varasβ strategy of signing his guys from the US U20s that he coached. I would next take a flyer on Kristian Fletcher and see if we can pry Niko Tsakiris from San Jose. #NERevs
I just think having teams trying to lose at any point in the season is bad and the league needs to do something that eliminates that as much as they can.
I canβt imagine the Wizards entered the season thinking theyβd be decent lol. Like you, I think tanking is the single biggest issue facing the league and drastic measures, whatever they are, need to be taken.
My other idea was to just flip the lottery odds so whoever is 12-14th worst gets the 14% odds and the actual worse teams in the league get the worst odds. You still might get teams, like Dallas did, to tank out of the play-in but this might keep teams from trying to be really really bad.
My issue with that proposal is teams will just tank harder early in the season so they can try to rack up as many tombstone wins as possible. And I donβt think improved lottery odds is a real incentive for players to try any harder once their season is all but over.
Then create some sort of prize money like they do for the NBA Cup big enough for owners to care. They need to do something that incentivizes winning throughout the season.
