Will we ever get a City of Angels revival? I’m still upset the screen version never happened.

More if this from other Dems, please. Murphy has been really good at being a real voice of opposition.

So, in launching a huge bombing campaign on Iran they apparently didn't plan for:

- Who takes over;
- Interceptor shortages from sustained drone retaliation;
- How to defend US bases in the region;
- Threats to ships in the Strait of Hormuz; and
- How to evacuate Americans with airspace closed.

FAFO in these cases is a way to minimizing or rationalize the suffering. If β€œthey deserve it” then β€œI don’t have to care.” In the end this is a variation of the dismissal of empathy that we all hate to see happening on the right. Too many people who are otherwise empathetic fall into this trap.

To whom? It would maybe have been a good idea to stand up an alternative government / army ahead of time. Of course, Sen. Graham said yesterday that’s not our job.

Read this! And listen to @sarahposner.bsky.social podcast. It’s an invaluable tool for understanding so many of this administration’s actions that seem inexplicable.

The American people now see Trump for who he is β€” a would-be dictator who does not care what Americans think or want, cares nothing about our Constitution or our laws, and sees himself as a kind of eighteenth-century king, with unlimited power to drag us into wars without the consent of the people.

This is a crisis moment, and any Democratic leader who won’t step up should be asking why they’re in the role. The rest of us should be asking why we let them stay there.

What happened to, β€œFirst, do no harm?” Even if this director is forced to follow policy, he should insist on doing it safely. (I’m not defending the policy, just to be perfectly clear.)

Do you know who else likes those kinds of breaks AND actually benefits from them? Real human employees who you want to replace specifically because they want them.

People should go back and look at how Republican governors responded when the Obama administration merely offered to assist with cybersecurity in 2016. Not a takeover, not nationalization, just assistance.
