Liverpool Ranger, Nick, has supported Woodlands Hospice with their Xmas Tree Recycling fundraiser. With support from BAM Construction & G Williams Civil Engineering, 400+ trees were collected, raising £6K+. The trees will be used in a Lancs Wildlife Trust sand dune restoration project.

Nature Recovery Ranger, Lucy, has been supporting patients to do some bird watching. January and February sees lots of winter visiting birds. Early February also marks the start of breeding season for many species in the UK and is when we can often start to hear early morning birdsong again.
Friends of Bluebell Woods came together for a winter session, organised by Nick, CSH Nature Recovery Ranger at NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group, to protect one of the woodland’s most welcome sights, the snowdrop. Clearing the bramble enables the snowdrops to expand into new areas.
The first signs of #spring have appeared at our ranger sites! Seeing cowslips this early is a reminder of how mild this winter has been and is part of a wider trend that has seen flowers bloom earlier and earlier as climate change starts to disrupt natural patterns and rhythms. #nature #health
