Oh also if you're using a standard/mayflash GC adapter instead of lossless you'll want a distro that has the gcadapter_oc driver in its user repos, unless you want to recompile it every kernel update. Only Fedora, Arch, and SUSE distro families have it right now to my knowledge

Using OpenSUSE Tumbleweed with KDE for the past 6 months, some snags with regards to package management but it's like the only rolling distro I've used that doesn't feel super experimental. I flipped to KDE from XFCE in 2017 and largely haven't looked back
