This past weekend I got to play my kobold monk Longmaw! He slayed a couple demons with his wand of magic missiles and was entrusted with the protection of a goblin knight's daughter

(He also saw the demonic incursion as a great chance to acquire an instant fortress)

Point of Inspiration! Dungeondraft Happy Friday! This week I’m introducing a small change. What used to be called our “Weekly Rec” Is being renamed, “Point of Inspiration.” This just feels more thematically in line. This weeks Point of Inspiration is coming from Dungeondraft! Now, unlike my past couple of recommendations this isn’t a show or a book. Dungeondraft is a map making tool from Megasploot perfect for creating maps for any TTRPG you may find yourself playing and/or running.

This week we're taking a look at Dungeondraft! A great tool for making battlemaps for use in your games.

Getting Started with Adventure Books! It can be pretty daunting taking the first steps into running tabletop games. When I ran my first game I was racked with anxiety from a number of questions, “what if my players don't like my story?” “What if I forget everything I’ve prepared?” and many other self doubting thoughts. In addition to self doubt making my entry into GMing difficult, I was also just flat out unsure where to start.

Using adventure books can be a great way to start running games!

Adventure Book Review: Light of Xaryxis This week I thought back on one of my recently finished campaigns reflected on how each session went. I found that I had some strong opinions about the experience of running straight out of a campaign/adventure book.(These are books that provide a full campaign to be played at the table). The experience was overall fun but I’d be lying if I said there weren’t times I felt too boxed in or confused by seemingly random inclusions from time to time.

I really liked the alt covers and finally got all 3! The sorta funny thing is that these might not even see much usage(if I don't like the 2024 updates I just won't use em) but idk i wanted the core set at least, I hope wotc can be better than what they've become/are becoming but with hasbro
