We used white phosphorus and torture in Iraq and Afghanistan.
All the defenses I've heard offered for Platner are either A) he's simply extremely stupid and gullible so the nazi stuff is just a Mr. Magoo series of events, or B) he's not a nazi but he's willing to engage positively with them, which I'm supposed to think is a good thing for some reason
