Is animal testing even needed anymore? Running tests on lab rats, mice and other species is an integral part of biomedical research. Now, some say artificial intelligence and other technologies could soon make the practice obsolete.

Founding Director Don Ingber spoke to @wbur.org about the implications of the FDA Modernization Act 2.0, the FDA’s plan to phase out animal testing, & what’s required to make that a reality. He discussed alternatives like Organ Chips & AI, & our Director of SynBio, Jenny Tam, spoke about organoids.
