Again comes out in two days and I freaking love it. The main character, Emia, is the sassiest lil’ gremlin I’ve ever had the joy of writing. Officer Uly reminds me of an adorable puppy. And I’ve heard from readers that the serial killer in it is boyfriend material. So I feel accomplished.
It may not seem like much, but I don't get a crap ton of reviews (mostly because I'm still small fish) but pre-release Again has 4.83 stars on Goodreads from 6 lovely ARC readers and it is holding me together right now.
What are y’all doing that Again is in the top 1000 in a couple categories before it launches? Books I’m actively selling aren’t that high.

That's true...but also I need to cut like 15k words from this thing. 130k for book two of a YA series is a bit much.
My readers are like "But we know they're nice."
And I'm like, "bro, they are literally about to be the only good things in this world that's about to go apocalyptic, let them keep being grateful and supportive."
To be fair, I do need to cut words, but good golly, I love that they're nice.
My writing group literally tells me to stop my characters from saying "thank you" so much. They're like "It's implied." And I'm like "But they did nice things to help each other get stronger."
I mean, I do need to cut words and they have a history of gratitude but still... I feel this.

Found out that only 1 out of four little free libraries in this city aren’t behind gates. Sooo, traveling somewhere new. I’ve been to 14 locations I only needed 5! 🤣
Little Free Library. For the love of all that is holy. Can you please make it a feature to show when the libraries are in gated communities? Really would appreciate that. Have only been able to get to one of seven locations so far today. 😩
Why, when I have adult content blocked, is there suddenly a bunch of naked dudes in my feed when I only interact with book/video game posts? And I can't even block certain words to make them vanish because it'll just be random nude pics.
Is anyone else having this issue out of the blue?
