Today, Mike Stuart is speaking at a workshop in Vienna on Analogies, External Validity, and the Future of Experimental Modelling Across the Sciences. His talk is entitled "There's No Baby in that Bathwater: Rejecting Veritism for Philosophy of Science."
Super excited to have this paper with Sabine Winters finally finished! We argue for a new account of scientific progress, where progress is just increasing abilities. A lot of fun examples with space science and AI!
Tomorrow, Mike Stuart is speaking at the University of Aberdeen's philosophy colloquium. His talk is entitled "Imagination as epistemic firebrand." He argues that imagination presents an obstacle for veritist epistemologies of science, and sketches a radical alternative.

In a few hours, the conference "Imagination & Creativity in Scientific Practices" will begin, hosted by the University of Parma. Mike Stuart will be speaking there, arguing against the coherence (and usefulness) of the concept of fictional truth for epistemology of imagination.
